Spy Eq / Merc Eq?

As a Spy I often change equip but normally I take:

-Smoke grenades
-Camo Suit
-HBS
-Sticky Cams

Merc:
- Backpack/Tazer/Camnet
- Frags
- Mines
- Gasmask

-chaff / flash (it depends of my current humour, or if map requires that)
- cam
- bullet/hbs

Merc:
- frag
- mine
- gasmasc
- backpack / camnet (usually backpack, sometimes camnet- depends on opponent.

So, u can draw a conclusion, as spy I play different styles - aggro, stealth or mix.

Atm im into a bit more aggro style and I use:

Smoke/flash
flash/chaff
cam
hbs

Is it just me or do I see a strange lack of people using spy bullets here? I personally never use them, but I thought that more people used them?

Although I probably never get constant equip combo (and I'm glad when it's changing), I wan't to advice all the other experimenting folks to ALWAYS have cams. When you're playing against good players (basing your tactics on noob mercs isn't wise), you're certainly gonna need those more than any other gadget, regardless if you play sneak, aggro or both. Of course you can even then be ultra lucky and require no cam usage, but basing your strategy on luck is unwise too.

I test every spygadget from time to time, but one thing is sure. Cams are always in + in the 4th slot.

Still not believing, don't be naive. When you play vs players that know practically every tiny aspect from a game, thinking that you can aggro them down without cams or complete the objs sneaky without making mercs sleep, is in most cases impossible. Ok, cams aren't necessary, and you can win without them, but the chances of winning are higher no matter what other gadget you sacrifice for cams.

Yesterday im back for couple games to my old aggro equip . Smokes / flashes / cams / bullets, but lol its sux for me right now, even i play agrro now ,i do it better with HBS etc, so im back Razz

hmm - been trying out this recently, and seems to work for me:

Smoke/Chaff
Cams
Heartbeat
Bullets

Now you may say why the flying fcuk are you using both HB Sensor AND bullets? Well let me tell you.....................

Ok so I dont really know, but i find it useful because one makes up for the others lacking - as in hacking objectives, you cant use HB to tell u where and what, but coming out of a vent bullets are pretty crap really seeing as you only get 5.

I agree, thats what my equip was before i left lol, usually i take chaff, because nearly every takes smokes, so thats what the other person most likely will have Smile

lol yeah - when we both used that kit together on Aqua, we found that it prehaps would have actually been a good idea to take smoke nades! Very Happy

I with my mate always go steltah.

Spy:
I take: chaff,camo,cam and hbs
He takes: chaff,camo,spy bullet/hbs
Sometimes i take alarm snare.

Merc:
I take: frags,mask,mins and bp i always take snipe
he takes: frags,mask,mins and spy trap. He takes shotgun and sometimes uzi.

About snares: When I tried to play with them it was unusefull. If someone have good headset/sound card he hear when someone shot it and..just not work.

my eq:

spy:flash,camo/chaff,hbs,cams

and merc:frags,mins,bp and mask

and btw, alarm snares could be usefull sometimes but i dont use snares anymore,, didnt work fo me Very Happy

I use snares only on Museum Razz

and some times on orphange.

If you cant quick cam, is there really any point in using them?
